Daughter of the Qestir Khan, previously next in line for the title Bekira was disowned by her tribe for leaving to travel and learn the art of dance. From a young age she was trained to be ready to accept her future position, being taught to read and write unlike most tribal Xaela. She was mostly in charge of making receipts and taking inventory due to her age, and it was during a routine inventory check that her life changed.Her quill halted as the bustle of the marketplace was quieted by the resounding chimes of a tambourine, all heads turning toward the source of the sound as more instruments joined in. Bekira ran back to the main yurt to put her work away before rushing to the crowd of people now gathered to watch the performance, squeezing her way to the front.Her heart raced when she spot the Hyur woman clad in revealing clothing covered in glittering adornments dancing through the plains. Bekira's eyes shone as they reflected the different colored flashes of light caused by the Hyur's movements. The young Xaela was completely enthralled by what she saw, a wide smile hidden by her tribal mask. Bekira began to try to copy the woman's movements from the crowd, which did not go unnoticed by her, and after the show she offered Bekira a place in her troupe.Bekira accepted, but when she informed her father he was strictly against it. She even tried to show him a bit of the dance she had picked up, even getting a faint glow from her own feet as she did, but this only made her father deny her more firmly. She had a place in the tribe, and she would fulfill it. But Bekira couldn't say no to the fire that was lit in her soul, sneaking away to leave with the troupe when they departed.She travelled with them for years until she decided to go out on her own and hone her craft in her own way. Along the way she wound up at the Moonlit Sanctuary Inn and found some new friends, and even a few partners! So she decided to stay, always excited to see what each new day will bring as people come and go from the inn.
